Dongying City's territory is from 36'55" to 38'15" north latitude and from 118'05" to 119'15" east longitude. It is located in the center of the area encircled by the Shandong Peninsula and Liaodong Pininsula. To its southeast is the opening city of Yantai and Qingdao, to its north is Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Economic Zone; to its northeast, the City looks Dalian City across the Bohai Sea, and the city radiates the broad mainland to its south and west.Dongying City is the central city in the Yellow River Delta which is formed in modern times when the Yellow River flowing into sea.
